091. Oral manifestations of hemochromatosis.A report of two cases
Dr. HESSA M. AL-WAYLI
Consultant in Oral Medicine, King Khalid Hospital, Ministry of Health, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Hemochromatosis is a disorder of iron metabolism characterized by excess deposition of iron in the tissue, especially in the liver and pancreas, bronze pigmentation of the skin, cirrhosis, diabetes mellitus and associated bone and joint changes.  The causes of hemochromatosis are numerous, including high iron intake and prolonged ingestion of medicinal iron.
Two cases with early signs of hemochromatosis will be presented as well as the importance of taking informative medical and dental history which could reveal medications that patients are taking, in what dosages and over what length of time. The necessary investigation to be made for the patient and careful interpretation will be discussed.

Dr. AHMED AL-ZAHRANI**, Dr. RANDA A. AL-FOTAWEI*

Ameloblastic fibro adenoma is benign, slow growing, expansile epithelial odontogenic tumor with odontogenic mesenchyme. Although it was reported in literature that ameloblastic fibro adenoma and odontoameloblastoma are identical lesions in 1968, WHO defined this tumors as two distinctly separate lesions. Clinically this lesion is an expansile lesion exhibited little tendency to infiltrate bone. The majority of these tumors were reported in younger patient (mean age 11.5). The maxilla and mandible appear to be equally affected. Altered occlusion and delay eruption of teeth are the common features. A 10-year-old female patient presented to oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic with chief complained of huge swelling on the right maxilla, with retained deciduous tooth No. 52 and delay eruption of the tooth No. 22. Radiographic interpretation shows well-circumscribed, multilocular cavity in right maxillary bone and right maxillary sinus. Within the cavity are varied amount of radiopaque material that represents the hard dental structures and impacted tooth No. 23 and 24. Careful surgical curettage of the entire tumor and capsule fragment was done. Histopathology report reveals that it is ameloblastic fibro-odontoma. The purpose of this report is to describe a relatively rare  benign tumor in young age group and to emphasize on the importance of including such a lesion in the differential diagnosis of any expensile lesion accompanied with delay of eruption of teeth of young age patient.
